LONGVIEW, Washington (April 3, 2018) – Lee Enterprises (NYSE: LEE), a leading provider of news, information and advertising in 49 markets, today named David Thornberry publisher of The Daily News in Longview, Washington. Thornberry succeeds Rick Parrish, who resigned from the company in February.

Before joining Lee, Thornberry was a regional advertising and sales director for KPC Media in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He also served as regional publisher and sales director for DHI Media Group in Ohio. Thornberry’s career highlights also include regional president and publisher for American Consolidated Media and director of multimedia sales and business development for Gatehouse Media in Ohio.
Thornberry has served on the boards of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association, the Wyoming Press Association and was the Kentucky Press Service’s chairman of new media. He has served on United Way boards in Indiana, Ohio and Colorado.
He is a 1985 graduate of Purdue University.
